Projects
Here are some of the projects I have been working over the semesters. I have used CAD to model a Reuleaux Machine. I also worked with a team to design a peristaltic water pump and a gimbal camera system.
On Cornell Rocketry, I designed and manufactured a piston separation system to separate our rocket at an apogee of 10,000 ft.
Piston Separation System
I designed a piston separation system that separates the booster and airframe section of our launch vehicle at apogee. The mechanism leverages a small pressure vessel that ignites black powder under extreme pressure and a spark ignition. This project streamlines the assembly procedure while reducing the energetic requirements of the rocket.
Features: Steel system manufactured using CNC for piston housing and lathe for the pistons. Actuated using RRC3 altimeter.

Peristaltic Water Pump
The slider-crank mechanism is designed to convert linear motion into rotary motion and vice-versa.I designed this using Fusion 360.
This was a group project with five others and myself. We designed and manufactured a peristaltic pump that can transport 1 liter of water to a height of 1.5 m. A peristaltic pump, or a roller pump, uses positive displacement to pump fluid.
Features: Laser cut acrylic plates, mill and lathe parts
